Another product for the “lifestyle” section of the site. I thought the addition of vodka to be a appropriate. You can read the product description up on the site for more information.

I’ve been doing a little more fiddling with the Anarkon Labs logo. I think I like option “G” but would love some feedback. I’m not sure if it feels too retro-space-ship or not but do like the addition of the neck at the top, which makes it feel more like a beaker, than just a circle with chemicals in it…
I was thinking more today about what form my final project will take and how I’ll tie all of this material together. One idea I was throwing around with my advisor last semester was to have an “Anarkon Walk,” In which I would wheat paste a series of sets of posters up around the city that introduced an audience to different elements of the company (history, goals, brand guidelines, products, philosophy, etc.) and then hand out maps that would direct people in a order to the specific sites.
Another idea I had for the final presentation was to gather everything up in a “New Affiliates” package. I was thinking of finding one of those James Bond style silver briefcases that would have all of my stuff in it including…
I’ve been doing a little more work on advertising posters this week and have come up with six first round versions. 2 generic promotional posters, 2 product posters, and 2 “lifestyle” type posters. The plan is to get these printed up in mass at 18″ x 24″ and start posting them up. Feedback welcome.
I’ve been working on packaging for the products for a while now but I think this is the first time I’ve posted. Most of the stuff I’ve done so far falls into the “Revolutionary Tools” product category and this one I thought was especially ridiculous. Riot Ready Throwing Stones sold for $59.95 a box and they come with the option of laser engraved personalization. See the product description on the site.
I’ve been working on some new products and saw the need to create a new branch of Anarkon that deals with products more chemical in nature. I did some research on identity marks of chemical, biological, and genetic engineering companies and came up with something fairly simple was in keeping with the Anarkon extended logo family.
This week I’ve been working on some new products. The products are more chemical in nature so I came up with a new branch of Anarkon known as Anarkon Labs which meant coming up with a new logo. This summer I’m going to be working to develop some products that are a bit more ridiculous to hopefully farther drive the comedy of it all home. Pictured here are the Anarkon Stain Destroyer and Anarkon RedReactor Energy Drink both of which can be read about in detail on the site. If anyone out there has any ideas for additional products please don’t hesitate to comment.
Just watched War Inc. and it was pretty amazing. The film is a fictional forecast of the future of “Brand America,” in a country called Turaqistan which is occupied by an American private corporation run by a former US Vice-President. In an effort to monopolize the opportunities the war-torn nation offers, the corporation’s CEO hires a hit man, to kill a Middle East oil minister.
I had a great content editing session with fellow designer and wordsmith extrodonaire Dave Gottwald yesterday. Dave helped me clean up a lot of my copy and add that ever so subtle evil capitalist undercurrent. One of my favorite adjustments from “Letter to the Board section of the Annual Report below:
“Brand loyalty reaches beyond the company’s finances. In today’s market, earning trust and street credibility requires more than just attention to sales reports and balance sheets. Conducting our business ruthlessly is equally as important as conducting it profitably. We are making sure this reality is ingrained in our company’s culture and plans for future growth. We are proud of what we achieved in 2008, yet the appetites of Anarkon remain insatiable. Room for expansion remains, as does our desire to hone and distill our message. We have much work to do, but we believe Anarkon is well positioned to grow profitably and achieve our long term objective of a stateless society.”
Just watched the McDonald’s health documentary “Super Size Me,” for the first time. Though I had been putting it off for some time it’s actually a pretty amazing and well done documentary. Recommended viewing for all.
